Car club collecting toys, food for holidays

Posted

The Lake Country Classics Car Club will attempt to fill members’ trunks with new, unwrapped toys to donate to the Rainbow Room in Quitman to benefit children under the care of Child Protective Services in Wood County.

They will also be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Christmas sharing program to benefit families in need in the area.

Classic vehicles will be set up around the courthouse square Saturday, Nov. 20 from 8-10:30 a.m. with a rain date of Sunday, Nov. 21 from 2-4 p.m.

Civic groups, church organizations, youth groups and school clubs are invited to join the effort.

Contact the club by messaging the Facebook page or call president Gary Novian at 805-340-6520.
