Caring and Sharing auction Saturday

The Mineola Caring and Sharing campaign continues to ramp up toward its annual holiday distribution on Dec. 10.

The KMOO radio auction is Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

See the ad on Page 10 of this week’s Monitor to view all the great items donated by area merchants.

All proceeds benefit the Caring and Sharing program to assist families in the Mineola ISD area, at Christmas and year-round.

Tickets for the annual Brookshire’s raffle will be sold Nov. 12, 19, 21 and 22 at the Mineola Brookshire’s parking lot from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Volunteers will be picking up food boxes from the schools on Friday. Nov. 18. They will meet at 8 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Ministry Center.

The crew will begin assembling the food boxes the week of Dec. 5.

The first Caring and Sharing Car Show held during Iron Horse Heritage Festival Sept. 24 was deemed a huge success.

The event raised almost $7,300.
