Caring & Sharing has giving trees around the town
Giving trees have been placed in several locations to benefit Mineola Caring & Sharing.
They are filled with ornaments that contain the gender and age (up to 12) of a child in need.
To assist, take an ornament from the tree and purchase a game or toy valued at at least $15 and return the unwrapped toy to any tree location by Dec. 6.
Locations include Mineola City Hall, Mineola Chamber of Commerce, Methodist Ministry Center, First Christian Church, Hometown Armory, East Texas Twisters and Brookshire’s.
This is the toy drive’s 23rd year. Last year more than 200 toys were purchased.
