H.W. Holcomb and Carol Ann Latham were married at First Baptist Church of Abilene June 8, 1956 by Dr. Elwin L. Skiles. They spent their early years in Sulphur Springs. They purchased and operated Hopkins County Food Locker. H.W. ran for Hopkins County commissioner Precinct 2 and served almost five terms while Ann worked at the local Walmart. After retirement, they moved to Lake Lydia where they still reside. They have one daughter, Melinda Loggins and her husband Jason Collett who live in Bryan. They had one grandson, Daniel, who passed away this year.
