Charles Wayne Tabor, 1941-2021

Charles Wayne Tabor of Mineola passed away the evening of Dec. 15, 2021. Charles, the son of John Bernice and Dolly Edna Tabor, grew up in Stamford with his parents and brother JB. He attended college at North Texas State University where he met his future wife, Beverly Ann Davis. They were married on Aug. 22, 1964 and remained married for 57 years until his passing. Charles was a lifelong educator and golf coach in Fort Davis then Mesquite ISDs.

Charles is survived by his wife, Beverly, and his children, Shawn Charles Tabor, his wife, Lori and their children Cole and Cambell, and Joshua Wayne Tabor, his wife, Amanda and their son Braxton.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
