Classics and Coffee returning

The Classics and Coffee sponsored by the Lake Country Classics Car Club will begin Saturday morning from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on the north side of the courthouse square in Quitman.

The club originally tried to do the monthly event last year but got shut down due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Classics and Coffee Cruise-In will be held the third Saturday of each month through November.

There is no registration fee and there will be a 50/50 drawing along with several great door prizes. There will also be free breakfast snacks and coffee for those who participate.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
