Commissioners award county jail services bid
Wood County commissioners awarded a bid for jail communication services Tuesday. They had previously rescinded the contract with NCIC after learning that the paying of commissions on phone services made the contract invalid. IC Solutions was awarded the bid on Tuesday. Jail Administrator Capt. Louis Dahlman explained that NCIC’s bid was rejected as it still contained the commission provision.
Commissioners also held a workshop on health care administration in preparation for the 2025-26 county budget.
They are starting early in case a change in consultants is made, to allow for the required 90-day notice to terminate the contract.
