Danny M. Jolley, 1943-2022

Graveside services with military honors were held for Danny M. Jolley, 78, of El Paso, formerly of Sulphur Springs at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2022 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.

Mr. Jolley passed away Feb. 15, 2022 at The Hospitals Of Providence in El Paso.

Danny Morris Jolley was born April 13, 1943 in Fort Worth to Clyde Morris and Mabel (Johnson) Jolley. He grew up in Sulphur Springs, as well as the Greenview and Brashear communities.

Danny joined the Army at age 16 and retired after 21 years of service, spending many of those years in Germany as well as serving in Vietnam.

He married Betty Stamps of El Paso on Aug. 2, 1965 in Wood County. She preceded him in death in 2009 as well as his parents; son, Dean Jolley; and sister, Mary Jo Sharp.

Survivors include son, Dan Patrick Jolley of El Paso; three grandsons, Shawn Jolley, Brandon Jolley and Andrew Jolley all of El Paso; two nephews, Larry Sharp of Dallas and Billy Sharp of Brownwood; and special dog and companion, Buddy.

Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 27 from 6-8 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home in El Paso.
