David Bradley Keenan 1969-2025
David Bradley Keenan passed in his sleep on March 19, 2025 at his home in Yantis. The sweet smile that was David’s trademark will now be forever shared with his heavenly father and all those who preceded him in death. With all the issues David faced throughout his 55 years, he was always a blessing to be around and could be counted on to brighten your day. David had all the support and resources necessary to allow him to stay with his parents in his home. For the last 40 years he was cared for with love in succession by Anna Guandique and her family, Carmen and Julio Santizo and now their granddaughters Paola and Daniela. The Keenan family has truly been blessed.
A long line of canine friends (mostly Labrador retrievers and dachshunds) also helped raise David and shared the joy only dogs can bring. David had a happy life.
David is survived by his mother, Deborah LeFevre Keenan; father, Thomas; brother, Thomas Kevin; sister-in-law, Natalia; nieces, Ashton and Kylie; and nephew, Jackson. David has many relatives spread around Texas, California, Illinois, Iowa, Oregon and Michigan. David was born in Alton, Ill. on Oct. 5, 1969. His aunt, Joan Keenan still lives in the area as does his uncle, James Keenan with his wife Mary Jo. Jim’s sons, Jimmy with wife Kim, Mike with wife Kelly and Joe with wife Chris reside in Iowa, Missouri and Texas. And their many children and grandchildren are part of David’s extended family. As is his aunt Patricia Lebovitz who lives in the Detroit area and her sons, Gary, Brian and Mark along with their wives, Barb, Cheryl and Lindsey who live nearby. There are dozens of cousins of David in the area as well. David is also survived by his adopted aunt and uncle, Pat and Marla Purcell.
David was preceded in death by his uncle, William Ned LeFevre (Nick); Nick’s daughter, Kelly; and his uncle, David Bush LeFevre. Nick’s wife, Marylin and son and daughter-in-law Keith and Jennifer and their family live in the hill country of Texas. David LeFevre’s wife Diane, daughter Nikki and son-in-law Paul Lamb along with son Joe reside in Oregon.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Emory. A light lunch will follow at the Pavilion at The Links at Land’s End.
