Dorothy Lee Blalock 1929-2022

Dorothy Lee Blalock, 92, of Mineola passed away on May 6, 2022 in Quitman. She was born in Lindale to late Dewy Lee Forrister and Nellie Rose Forrister.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blalock; daughter, Judy Ann Moore; and son, Randall Buddy Blalock.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memories are son, Glen Blalock of Mineola; daughter, Tricia Whitley and husband Jim of Crandall; brothers, Jerry Forrister of El Paso and Kenny Forrister of El Paso; grandchildren, Brian Duncan, Stephanie Johnson, Timothy Whitley, Tesa Trammell and Cindy Mize; 13 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on May 13, 2022 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, 5320 South State Hwy 37. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. and internment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
