Edna Rae Carter, 1934-2020

Edna Rae Carter, born Oct. 31, 1934 in McClennan County, died May 18, 2020 in Tyler in Home Place Hospice at age 85. She loved God with all her heart and passed down a precious legacy to her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and “playing in the dirt!” She is survived by daughters, Judy Buford, Debbie Harlin and Susan Rogers; grandchildren, Buddy Harlin, Marcus Harlin, Scott Gates, Jennifer Strickland and Michelle Eley; 12 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, three sisters, one brother, one son -in-law, and her beloved Aunt Eppie. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2020 at First Baptist Church Quitman with Dr. Marcus Alexander officiating. Interment at Rock Hill Cemetery.

Special Olympics returns in style
