Event to celebrate disc golf at preserve

A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for the Mineola Nature Preserve disc golf course and Chain Games 2020 Saturday, Nov. 21. There will be a full day of fun at the preserve from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. that will include games, prizes, disc skills contests, a disc golf tournament, corn hole, vendors, food, beer and more.

The nature preserve is located at 1860 County Road 2724, just off Southeast Loop 564, just south of Mineola. More information is available at www.mineolanaturepreserve.com.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
