Flora “Jean” Frazier 1937-2025

Flora “Jean” Frazier, 88, of Quitman passed away on April 23, 2025 in Quitman. She was born on April 8, 1937 in Chico to W.A. and Sally Dickenson Newton.

Jean was raised in Chico and graduated with the Chico High School Class of 1955. That same year on Feb. 19, she married Jimmy Joe “Pops” Frazier. The couple made their home in the Collin County area for over 20 years before settling in Wood County 25 years ago.

Jean dedicated 36 years of service to Texas Instruments in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Jimmy Joe Frazier; their son, Carey Lynn Frazier; as well as three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her son, Mark Frazier and wife Kayla of Quitman; four grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family held a private service on Saturday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
