Glenda Pauline Roberts  1942-2021

Glenda Pauline Roberts, 78, from Grand Saline passed away on Sept. 9, 2021. She died in the nursing home where she had been for three days. She was a teacher for many years and ended her teaching career in 2005 in special education at Quitman Elementary School.

Glenda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bert and Rowena Davis Rosendahl; paternal grandparents, Berry and Sarah Bell Roberts; her parents, Glen and Coyla Evelyn Rosendahl Roberts; elder sister, Dorothy Lyle; and younger brothers, Bob Roberts and Jim Roberts.

Left to mourn her passing are her nephews, Don Roberts and Bill Lyle; nieces, Sarah Longoria, Kim Warrick and Deborah Aldrich; and she leaves many close friends, who will miss her greatly. Glenda had been on hospice for the past year and was very appreciative of her hospice caretakers. She had extra help at home, whom she greatly appreciated, and this allowed her to stay at home almost to the end.  She also had help from her dear friends, Lynn Gilmer, Mary and Gerry Crane and her friends at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Mineola.

A viewing will take place on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, under the directions of Eubank Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Mineola on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. with Bishop Frazer Lawton officiating.
