Golf tournament benefits child advocacy center

The Jerry Edwards Memorial “Chip in for children” annual golf tournament will be held Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater at 568 Wilkins Road. The tournament benefits the Northeast Child Advocacy Center (NETCAC) and is being sponsored by Ozarka.

There will be a shotgun start in the four-person scramble with a dinner and awards ceremony following the tournament. 

Team entries are $550 for four players or an individual can pay $150 with limited spots available. 

There are several levels of sponsorship with each level receiving recognition in the sponsor book which is provided to every golfer.

A Guardian Sponsor is $5,000 and includes four teams, full page and table cards; Angel sponsor is $3,000 including two teams, a full page and table cards; Hero sponsor $1,500 includes one team, 3/4 page and table cards; Mentor Sponsor, no players, 3/4 page and table cards; and Hope sponsor $500, no players  and 1/2 page. 

NETCAC is a 501c3 non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible. Funds raised during this event will continue to help provide a safe place for all children 2 to 17 years of age who have had alleged sexual abuse, severe physical abuse or witness of a violent crime.
