Helen Zene Dudley Cain 1930-2025

Services for Helen Zene Dudley Cain, 94, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Alba, with Dr. Kelly Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery in Alba.

Mrs. Cain passed away March 9, 2025 at her residence in Alba. She was born June 25, 1930 in Beckville to James Burford and Lena Blanche Garrison Dudley. She married Dr. Glen T. Cain on June 24, 1951 in Alba. She lived in Houston for 27 years before moving to Alba 35 years ago. Helen graduated and received degrees from Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton and Baylor University in Waco. She taught school for 37 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Alba.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Dr. Glen T. Cain; foster son, Gary Rose; sister, Katie Beth Noneman; and nephew Patrick Spriggs.

Survivors include her two nieces, April Wilcox of Alba and Kriste Kline of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and nephew, Shawn Spriggs of Reed City, Mich.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
