Historic theater celebrates 105th anniversary

The Lake Country Playhouse and Historic Select Theater in Mineola will celebrate 105 years of continuous operations Saturday with a birthday party including many special events.

The party goes from 5-9 p.m. with free admission and a small popcorn and drink at 114 N. Johnson St.

The evening will include live performances from Mineola High School band members, past performers, theater tours, classic vehicles, two short films “The Pride of Mineola:” and “The select Theater Speaks” and more.

New collectible t-shirts and koozies will be on sale. And there will be surprises and giveaways.
