Hudsons continue to benefit community

Kindness Kottage and Mineola ISD technology each received a donation of $5,504 as the 2025 recipients of the Max and Mary Hudson Charitable Foundation.

The Hudson Foundation was established in 2003 by lifelong Mineola residents Max and Mary Hudson. Prior to their deaths, the Hudsons established the foundation which is managed by Leon Anderson.

As designed by the foundation, each year the Mineola school district receives a percentage of the trust to be used for scholarships, the Mineola Church of Christ also receives a percentage, and an at-large entity or entities receive a percentage as well.

“The Hudsons’ desire was to give back to their community that they so loved,” said Anderson.

Advisory Committee Members for the trust are Mike Ferguson, Jay McGough, Jimmy Phillips and Anderson. The committee has the task each year determining the charity of choice to receive the distributions.
