James Preston Bussell, 1992-2022

James Preston Bussell, 30, of Quitman passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at his home in Quitman. He was born July 2, 1992 to Steven Paul Bussell and Mary Ann Stroncheck in Sulphur Springs.

James loved nothing more than being a dad to his children, hanging out with his friends, and his company. James started his own business in 2019, SKS Demolition, and was very proud of the accomplishments he had made with his business. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Christa Bussell; his children, Skyleigh, Ava, Sawyer, KayLee, Caitlynn and Cayden; his father, Steven Paul Bussell; mother, Mary Ann Stroncheck; brother, Stephen Bussell; sister, Alyssa Bussell; nieces, Jordyn and Shyanne; and his nephews, Cameron and Kaysen. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Paul Bussell and Betty Jeanne Bussell; brother, Justin (J-Mac) Sherril; and his aunt, Gladys Shields.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022 at the Yantis Baptist Church in Yantis, with Bro. Jeremy During officiating. Jeremy Fuller, Matthew Crayton, Kevin Mullins, Justin Corwin, Chris Bowman and Cory Thompson were pallbearers. A visitation was held on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Lowe-Gardner Funerals and Cremations in Quitman.
