Kenneth Wayne Patrick 1944-2023
Services to celebrate Kenneth Wayne Patrick’s remarkable life will be held on Jan. 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Quitman.
In loving memory of Kenneth Wayne Patrick, born on Feb. 7, 1944. Kenneth peacefully began his heavenly journey on Dec. 24, 2023 where he took his seat at the Lord’s table with his parents, George Earl Patrick and Bennie Lou Taylor; older brother, Bob Patrick; and sister, Jean Gaby.
Kenneth was a devoted husband of 60 years to his high school sweetheart, Ginger Farrington. Together they raised their daughter, Michele, who, along with her husband, Reed Pittman, and their two sons, Patrick Reed with wife Mikayla and Parker Wayne, mourn his passing.
Kenneth is survived by his brother, Charles Patrick with his wife Sissy, and sister-in-law, Betty Patrick. He was beloved by many nieces and nephews who will always cherish the memories they shared with their dear uncle Ken.
Kenneth’s legacy extends beyond family, as he served with dedication as a lead security officer at Sears & Roebuck catalog plant in Dallas for 35 years. His commitment to public service also manifested in his 28 years as a lieutenant in the Irving Police Reserve Department where he was recognized for acts of bravery in saving lives.
In addition to his professional achievements Kenneth cherished his role as a husband, father, uncle and Papa. He found joy in gardening, golfing and the Dallas Cowboys. Kenneth was always in attendance offering guidance and warm hugs to his grandsons, nieces and nephews no matter the events.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to a local first responders foundation in honor of Kenneth’s lifelong commitment to service.
May Kenneth Wayne Patrick’s memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
