The Wood County Sheriff’s Dept., Sabine River Authority and Texas Parks and Wildlife will once again partner for the annual Kid Fish at Lake Fork on Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. until noon.

The event is free and a meal will be served.

It is a catch and lease tournament, and participants are encouraged to bring cameras to record their catches.

It will be held at the SRA headquarters at 353 Private Road 5183, Quitman.

Participants must be 16 or younger, and those under seven must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parental participation is encouraged but not required.

Contestants must complete an official entry form and comply with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code and Texas Water Safety.

All fish must be caught on a pole or rod and reel, and contestants should furnish those if possible. If not one will be provided.

The person who caught the fish must be the one weighing it in and bringing it to the weigh station in the provided weigh bags.
