Lady Bulldogs win handily
The Quitman Lady Bulldogs took care of Class 4A Tyler Chapel Hill last Friday banging out a 13-2 softball victory.
Alexis O’Neal led the way on offense with three hits while Ashley Davis, Kennedi Elmore, Kynlee Love and Reiny Luman each collected two hits. Davis had two doubles while Love and O’Neal each tripled and Elmore blasted a home run. The Lady Bulldogs pounded out 13 hits.
O’Neal also took the win on the mound, holding Chapel Hill to just two hits.
The Lady Bulldogs took a 6-1 lead after just one inning and got one in the second to make it 7-1. A big four-run third inning gave Quitman an 11-1 lead. The Lady Bulldogs added two in the fourth for the final 13-2 tally.
The Lady Bulldogs tore up the base paths recording 17 stolen bases. O’Neal led the way with six followed by Maddy Pence and Davis with three each.
Quitman is at home in a district game against Winnsboro Friday at 6 p.m.
