Lady Jackets win bidistrict

The Mineola Lady Jackets are bidistrict basketball champions after a 58-56 victory over the Atlanta Lady Rabbits Monday night in Hallsville.

Mineola was a fourth seed while Atlanta was a district champion, but Mineola used a pressure defense to lead most of the game and bring home the trophy.

They will take on the Sabine-Jefferson winner later this week. (Note: Jefferson won 52-47).

Game has been set Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Hallsville.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
