Lady Panthers fall to Lindsay in area playoff
The ninth-ranked Lady Knights of Lindsay put an end to the Alba-Golden Lady Panther volleyball season Thursday.
Lindsay earned a three-game sweep to win the area championship. All the teams from Alba-Golden’s district were eliminated by the second round of the playoffs.
Lindsay raced to an opening set win, 25-7.
Alba-Golden managed to double its score in the second game but still fell 25-14. They were able to make it more competitive in the third game, but still lost 25-20.
Lindsay moved on to face Bosqueville, a winner over Dawson.
Alba-Golden ended the year as the second-place team in district and won a bidistrict title against Wolfe City.
