The water level at Lake Fork Reservoir was lowered to an elevation around 397 feet to make repairs and further assess the Lake Fork Dam. Underwater inspections were conducted which identified additional areas that are also in need of repair.

Lake Fork level to remain low
The water level at Lake Fork Reservoir was lowered to an elevation around 397 feet to make repairs and further assess the Lake Fork Dam. Underwater inspections were conducted which identified additional areas that are also in need of repair.
The Sabine River Authority plans to hold the reservoir at 397 feet while additional repairs are performed. SRA plans to increase manpower with staff from other divisions to assist with expediting the repairs.
Lake side property owners should continue to inspect and make necessary repairs to boathouses, piers, retaining walls and related structures
