Larry Vincent Richey, 1936-2021

Larry Vincent Richey, 84 of Mineola passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 in Tyler. He was born on April 25, 1936 in Mineola to the late Homer Richey and Gladys Thompson Richey. He was a foreman for Trane Air in Tyler for 42 years and member of First Baptist Church of Mineola. He was a former board member for the Wood County Conservation League, served on the Mineola ISD School Board and was a deacon at First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, June Richey of Mineola; daughters, Diane Richey of Palm Desert, Calif. and Shelly Whitney and husband, John of Mineola; two grandchildren, Paige Clark and husband Forrest and Blake Whitney; one great-grandchild, Hadley Clark; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola.. Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Mineola with Dr. Mark Neeley conducting. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery in Mineola, with Mark McClanahan, Christopher McClanahan, Jerry Graves, Donny Crenshaw, Jerry Scoggins and Wayne Richey serving as pallbearers.
