League of the Arts hosting wood carving show

The Mineola League of the Arts will hosts its first wood carving show Saturday.

The Wood Carving/Turning Show and Sale will be held at the MLOTA facilities at 200 W. Blair St. in Mineola, starting at 10 a.m. and going until 5 p.m.

Admission to the show is free.

Entry forms and show rules can be found at the MLOTA website – www.mlota.org.

MLOTA also offers wood carving classes on Mondays at 10 a.m.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
