Linda Irene Stephens 1946-2025

Linda Irene Stephens, 79, of Quitman passed away on June 27, 2025 in Winnsboro, with her family by her side.

Linda was born on March 21, 1946 in Dallas to William Beeler and Roselene Pinegar. 

Linda spent most of her life in Quitman. She lived and worked in Commerce for several years, where she raised her children, before returning to Quitman. She worked as a line supervisor at Sherwood Medical and was a hairdresser earlier in life.

She married Russel Stephens on Feb. 1, 1990. She enjoyed riding horses, working in her flower garden and making porcelain dolls. Her grandchildren lovingly called her Nana.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Roselene Heizer; father, William Beeler; and son, Russel Stephens.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Russel Paul Stephens; four children, Kimberly Ann Simpson and husband Shaun Zimmerman, Jeanie Lyn Putman and husband Kevin, Jenifer Cher Hyatt and Roy Loyola Stephens and wife Michelle; two brothers, Arthur Beeler and Sammy Beeler; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service for Linda Stephens was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Beeler Family Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday evening, July 1, 2025 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations from 6-8 p.m.
