Mark Moore 1967-2021

Mark Moore passed away at his home in Cartwright on July 26, 2021. He was born Nov. 20, 1967 in Quitman to Arley C. Moore and Betty Winkle Moore.

Mark attended Quitman ISD and graduated in the class of 1986. He had several jobs at Wood County Electric. He laid pipeline for gas lines, installed aerobic water systems and was a grounds keeper for the City of Winnsboro. He worked on custom furniture products for 3-Man Products in Hainesville.

Mark married Pamela Joy Spurny Moore on March 15, 2008 at Cartwright Baptist Church where they were both members.

He is survived by wife, Pamela; sister, Rhonda Moore Fritz and brother-in-law Joe Fritz; stepson, Bryce Beyler; stepdaughter-in-law, Tanya; two step-grandchildren; and nephew, niece and grand-nieces.

Memorial services to be held in the fall at a date and time to be determined.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
