The Mineola High School boys powerlifting team competed in the Van Invitational Saturday.

The team tied for second place but lost on a tie breaker.

The following lifters brought home medals from the meet.  

Juan Cervantes 1st in the 308 lbs. class

Austin Blalock 2nd in the 181 lbs. class

Javaryon Brumsey 2nd in the 275 lbs. class

Kenix Alejo 2nd in the 148 lbs. class

Chilo Applegate 3rd in the 308 lbs. class

Grayson Dupont 4th in the 308 lbs. class

Eddrick Irving 4th in the 220 lbs. class

Nicholas Solano 4th in the SHW class

Michael Deatherage 5th in the 132 class.
