Mineola school trustees made the following recognitions during the April 17 board meeting.

Students of the month:

Primary, kindergartners Jason Artunez and Kendal Turner; Elementary, 4th graders Kimberly Santos and Corben Kelly; Middle school, 6th graders Macie Whitehead and Tatum James; High school, 10th grader Luke Beckley and 11th grader Audri Dunwoody.

Support staff, Jason Rushing, maintenance.

Teacher, middle school, Cassie White.

FCCLA state qualifiers, Mia Backer, Zoe Goodson and Sydney Van Cleave

TAFE state qualifiers, Emily Miller, Jasmine Hollins, Zoe Goodson, Mia Backer, Abbie Dobbs, Jaycee Smith, Emily Trimble, Makayla Gould.

State powerlifting qualifier and academic all-state, Shylah Kratzmeyer.

The board approved the following new hires:

Adam McMahon (Mineola High School Assistant Principal), Brittany McMahon (Mineola Primary School - 2nd Grade Teacher), Nicole Thomas (Mineola Elementary School Counselor), Hillary Davis (Mineola High School - Agriculture Science), Jacob Davis (Mineola High School - Middle School Math Teacher), Meghan Brewington-Dobbs (Mineola Elementary School - 4th Grade Math), Amanda Morris (Mineola Middle School - 6th Grade ELAR), Heather Crain (Mineola Middle School - Art), Courtney Davis (Wood County Co-Op - Receptionist), Samantha McGarity (Wood County Co-Op - Instructional Aide) 

The following resignations were accepted:
