Mineola brush pick up suspended
The city of Mineola announced last week that brush pick up has been suspended until further notice.
The public works department is short-handed two employees, and a major repaving project for Meadowbrook Dr. was set to begin on Monday, leaving no crew members to pick up brush.
Citizens who live inside the city limits may take brush to the city property at the end of E. Bromberg St. The city will burn the debris later.
The street department is seeking two persons to fill the positions (see the help wanted ad in this week’s Monitor).
Pick up applications at city hall or email Pubic Works Director Kyle McCoy at kmccoy@mineola.com or City Secretary Cindy Karch at ckarch@mineola.com.
