Mineola chamber making fiesta plans

Posted

The Mineola Chamber of Commerce is moving ahead with plans to hold May Fiesta Day on Saturday, May 1.

Last year’s event was canceled, along with the Iron Horse Festival in September and the 2020 and 2021 chamber awards banquets.

The May festival began in 2018 and is held the first Saturday in May in the downtown area along S. Johnson and Commerce Streets.

It features music and other entertainment and vendors for crafts, food, information and other items.

To sign up as a vendor please contact the chamber.

The chamber also plans to resume its monthly networking breakfasts in April. They were suspended a year ago.

The breakfasts are held at 8 a.m. on the second Tuesday, and for the next few months will be held at the Mineola Civic Center.

Signup details may be found on the chamber website and social media.

The chamber board recently welcomed new members Jacob Waggoner and David Sheffield.
