Mineola Cub Scout Pack making a comeback
Cub Scout Pack 385 in Mineola is being re-established, chartered by the Rotary Club of Mineola.
The pack has six registrants with two more applications pending and is open to all boys and girls in grades K through 5.
Mineola last had a Cub Scout pack in 2020, while the Boy Scout troop’s charter lapsed at the end of 2023.
Meetings are held at the Mineola Memorial Library’s Meredith room on Tuesday’s from 5:30-6:30 p.m., though the pack is looking for a more permanent home, especially as they start to grow.
They will be selling popcorn as part of their fundraising efforts outside of the Ace hardware store and Walmart.
For more information they can reach out to the district office, 903-597-7201 or etac@etexscouts.org.
The pack already has core leadership, though parents of scouts or prospective scouts are welcome to get involved.
