Mineola girls second at Hawkins powerlifting
The Mineola High school Girls Powerlifting team traveled to Hawkins to compete in the Hawkins Last Chance Qualifier meet Wednesday, Feb. 12.
With a limited team, the ladies placed 2nd overall of seven teams. The following brought home medals and increased their totals needed to qualify for regionals.
Jaecey Jones - 1st place - 105 lbs. class
Addyson Blackwell - 1st place - 114 lbs. class
Milo Reed - 1st place - 123 lbs. class
Callee White - 2nd place - 181 lbs. class
Nadiah Martinez - 1st place - 242 lbs. class
They will next compete at the Region 3 Class 3 Regional Meet in Commerce Saturday, March 1 for a chance to compete at the state meet later in March.
