Mineola Hay Show marks 56th year Tuesday

The 56th annual Mineola Hay Show is Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Mineola Civic Center.

The highlight of the show is the benefit auction which raises funds to support the Mineola FFA programs. Last year’s auction topped the $40,000 mark for the first time.

Some 45 hay producers turned in samples and will be awaiting the announcement of the top crops.

Todd Brewer will provide the musical entertainment, and Seth’s Lake Fork Creek is the caterer.

There will be numerous door prizes awarded.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
