Linda Brendle spoke to the Friends of the Mineola Memorial Library Thursday, May 6 at the Library Annex. Brendle is a local author of multi-genre Christian books. She and her husband live in the Lake Fork area.
Linda spoke about being a writer, how to become a writer, where to look for ideas, how journaling turned into her first book and the world of publishing.
She has written five books: “A Long and Winding Road” is about her trip across the country in a motor home with her parents, and it’s sequel, “Mom’s Long Goodbye,” is about dementia and its effect on the family. “Kitty’s Story” is about the adventures of their cat. “Tatia’s Tattoo” and it’s sequel “Fallen Angel Salvage” are about child trafficking in the East Texas region.
She is working on a third sequel to this series.
Brendle also has a column in the “Rains County Leader” under the heading “City Girl.” She also rides a Harley Davidson motorcycle with her husband, just learning that since retirement.
She is on Facebook, and her books can be purchased on Amazon and some local venues.
