Mineola Library Notes
We are getting all of the seasons this month. Hot one day, freezing the next. Maybe a good book would help us get through Mother Nature’s mood swings. Remember, if the weather gets too bad, we will post on our website, Facebook and alert KMOO.
We still have audio books on CD for listening. We have books in regular print and large print. We have books on e-book platforms including Boundless and Freading. We have books for the very young up to the young at heart. Stop by 301 N. Pacific in Mineola and see what we have to offer.
We have a very generous loan period, four weeks. Four weeks to read books or listen to books or to watch movies. You can sign up to receive a reminder a few days before your items are due. You get contacted when your item is 1-3 days late followed by postcards and letters the longer the items are overdue. We charge fines when physical items are late returning to the library. Books and audios are 25 cents per day per item and movies are $1 per day per item.
E-books have a two week check out. E-books just “magically” disappear when they are due. Physical items require you to bring them back to the library.
Programs continue at the library including Toddler Time on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m., Preschool Story Time on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m., crafting club the first Saturday of the month and East Texas Perfictionist Book Club the last Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m..
