The year 2021 is almost complete. It was much better than 2020 and here’s hoping 2022 will be even better. We have enjoyed serving the community of Mineola over this past year. In January, we will have a quick recap of what we did over the course of the year.

We will be closed Dec. 24-25 to allow our staff time with their families and friends. We will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 to allow staff time with family and to get ready for the new year.

As we move into our winter months, remember to listen to KMOO in the event of inclement weather that might cause us to close for the safety of patrons and staff. We will also post on Facebook and our website www.mineolalibrary.com. In the event of library closures, processes are put in place to adjust fines.

We have a suggestion/comment box located by the front door. Please, let us know what you like about the library and/or leave a suggestion about something you would like to see in the coming year. Suggestions could include programs, types of books, authors, activities, etc.

We sincerely thank each and every one who has used the library over the past year whether in person or via our WiFi and eBooks. We thank our board of directors for their support and guidance. We thank the Friends of the Library for their continued support. We thank the Meredith Foundation for their assistance funding the library. We thank everyone who has contributed to the financial support of the library including City National Bank, the Hudson Trust and many others.

We wish each and everyone a very safe and Happy New Year!

Remember the Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)3, non-profit and your donations may be tax-deductible.
