5:57 a.m., burglary, W. Kilpatrick, residential, suspect scared away by dogs, unable to locate.

6:23 a.m., disorderly conduct, S. Pacific, male subject threatening employee and customer with gun, removed part of employee’s car so she could not leave, no gun present, verbal only, parties separated.

8:17 a.m., escort, N. Johnson, funeral.

10:54 a.m., motorist assist, 100 blk N. Pacific, vehicle broken down, out of roadway.

10:56 a.m., reckless driver, N. Pacific at Greenville, 18-wheeler unable to maintain lane, unable to locate.

6:52 p.m., city ordinance violation, E. Broad, criminally trespassed subject at location, left prior to officer arrival.

8:29 p.m., drunken subject, Newsom, caretaker showed up drunk, causing scene, released to non-intoxicated party.

10:52 p.m., suspicious vehicle, 1000 blk S. Pacific, was security guard.

11:41 p.m., vehicle stop/arrest, 100 blk E. Commerce, Sarah Elizabeth Steitle of Mineola arrested for DWI second offense. 

May 8

1:46 a.m., assist other agency, E. Buchanan at N. Pacific, assist county deputy.

2:17 p.m., theft, 100 blk NE Loop 564, lost wallet, advised to contact last known location.

3:11 p.m., warrant service, Landers, unable to respond.

3:46 p.m., motor vehicle accident, 100 blk NE Loop 564, two vehicles.

4:41 p.m., motor vehicle accident, 100 blk NE Loop 564, vehicle hit while in store, reviewed video and saw nothing happen while vehicle parked at store.

6:18 p.m., assist other agency, N. Pacific at Loop 564, disturbance in county and vehicle headed to Mineola, vehicle stopped and handed over to deputy.

9:06 p.m., welfare concern, W. Kilpatrick, woman at location left abusive husband, suspect from Gladewater heading to location, has Smith County warrant, arrested Thomas Colon Herring, also unlawfully carrying a weapon and possession of controlled substance.

May 9

1:20 a.m., assist other agency, Emily, assist EMS.

4:31 a.m., reckless driver, US Hwy. 80 eastbound, eastbound vehicle in westbound lane, unable to locate.

9:41 a.m., theft, NE Loop 564, phone taken with cards in it, turned in and returned prior to officer arrival.

10:25 a.m., theft, S. Pacific, theft of service, check written on closed account.

11:00 a.m., information, E. Broad, subject unable to contact person who hit canopy, officer contacted them.

11:27 a.m., assist other agency, N. Pacific, assist EMS.

5:05 p.m., public assist, Maxine, driver locked out of vehicle.

5:20 p.m., unknown offense, E. Broad, problem with customer, left property.

10:26 p.m., disturbance, NE Loop 564, male yelling and cursing in parking lot, unable to locate.

4:00 a.m., suspicious person/vehicle, NE Loop 564, woman in parked vehicle for several hours, throwing trash in parking lot, left property.

1:15 p.m., assist other agency, Autumn Wind Court, subject left with EMS.

2:18 p.m., suspicious person, NE Loop 564, subject believed to be involved in theft, unable to locate.

10:37 p.m., vehicle stop/arrest, 1000 blk S. Pacific, arrested Stratney Tyrone Terrana on Smith County warrant.

May 11

12:53 a.m., alarm, Nuss, residential, everything OK.

4:43 p.m., public assist, 300 blk Greenville, subject’s brother located in Mount Vernon area.

8:17 p.m., welfare concern, Meadowbrook, have not heard from subject in a week, located and is OK.

8:50 p.m., welfare concern, 1800 blk N. Pacific, elderly person on scooter, unable to locate.

9:37 p.m., suspicious vehicle, W. Broad, unable to locate.

9:46 p.m., alarm, N. Pacific, manager advised everything OK.

10:08 p.m., welfare concern, 1700 blk N. Pacific, elderly woman on scooter on side of road, followed to residence.

10:10 p.m., reckless driver, Francis, speeding, almost hit subject’s daughter, will be on lookout for vehicle.

May 12

7:39 a.m., alarm, Baker, locked and secure.

10:31 a.m., theft, NE Loop 564, case to be picked up.

2:09 p.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564, unable to locate subject.

4:15 p.m., unknown offense, 300 blk Greenville, possible scam.

4:28 p.m., unknown offense, N. Pacific, subject from prior call, went with EMS.

7:08 p.m., motor vehicle accident, 100 blk S. Pacific, two vehicles.

MAy 13

2:48 a.m., suspicious person, N. Newsom, Dumpster diving, parties advised to load stuff back up and bring back during business hours.

3:12 a.m., suspicious person, E. Broad, car dropped off someone and turned around, consent to search, no contraband.

3:49 a.m., assist other agency, 24000 blk W. Hwy. 80, single vehicle crash with cow, driver transported to Quitman ER.

12:21 p.m., welfare concern, NE Loop 564, elderly couple with car problems, waiting on ride.

12:52 p.m., welfare concern, 300 blk Greenville, elderly woman in scooter in turning lane, observed picking up item and returning home.

2:44 p.m., escort, N. Pacific at Loop 564, funeral.

7:38 p.m., traffic stop/arrest, 900 blk Greenville, Gustavo Ortega arrested.

7:52 p.m., alarm, S. Pacific.

Officers also made 60 traffic stops and 20 animal control calls,
