Saturday saw the initial action of the 2021-22 Mineola Yellowjackets soccer team. Under a cloudy sky with a brisk northwest wind, Mineola hosted a three-way scrimmage at Meredith Memorial Stadium.

Mineola soccer opens season with scrimmage
Saturday saw the initial action of the 2021-22 Mineola Yellowjackets soccer team. Under a cloudy sky with a brisk northwest wind, Mineola hosted a three-way scrimmage at Meredith Memorial Stadium.
The Jackets open their pre-district season at home on Jan. 4 against Sulphur Springs. District competition begins Jan. 25 when Mineola hosts Grand Saline. The Jackets will be competing this year in a district composed of Bullard, Chapel Hill, Cumberland, Gladewater, Grand Saline, Lindale and Van.
