Mineola teams winners of local golf tournament
The Alba-Golden golf team hosted a tournament at the Mineola Country Club on March 5.
Participating were Alba-Golden, Mineola, Quitman, Winona and Brook Hill.
The Mineola girls and boys teams won first place.

Mineola teams winners of local golf tournament
The Alba-Golden golf team hosted a tournament at the Mineola Country Club on March 5.
Participating were Alba-Golden, Mineola, Quitman, Winona and Brook Hill.
The Mineola girls and boys teams won first place.
The Mineola girls team was Ava Johnson, Sunni Ruffin, Savannah Lopez, Valerie Moreland and Allie Hooton.
The Mineola boys team was Oliver Barnes, T.J. Moreland, Jack Heard, Scout Parker and Mateo Renaud.
Ava Johnson from Mineola was girls medalist with Rhiana Bradshaw from Quitman second and Sunni Ruffin third also from Mineola.
Aiden Conner of Quitman was boys medalist with Parker Simpkins of Quitman second and Oliver Barnes of Mineola third.
Also competing for Quitman boys were Brandon Hayes, Logan Simpkins and Austin Tanner.
For the Quitman girls, Avery Von Reyn, Ava Burroughs, Sierra Williams and Alantis Derouin also competed.
Alba-Golden boys included Jace Boykin, Eli Nivison, Seth Converse, Tate Converse and Payton Oliver.
The Alba-Golden girls team included Hope Wiley, Paisley Pendergrass, Ari Nivison and Julia Wolfe.
