Ministerial Alliance plans Soup and Sermon series

The Mineola Ministerial Alliance will once again host its Soup and Sermon luncheon series during Holy Week.

The free event will be hosted by Smith Chapel Methodist Church at 670 FM 1804 east of Mineola from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, Monday through Friday.

Pastors delivering the daily messages include Jim Pickens from Smith Chapel on Monday, Steve Prestridge from Northside Church on Tuesday, Fraser Lawton from St. Dunstan’s Episcopal on Wednesday, Phillip Casper from First Baptist Church of Mineola on Thursday and John Thomas from the First Methodist Church of Mineola on Good Friday.

“Jesus always changes hearts and minds at Soup and Sermon as he brings our community together,” said Thomas.
