MISD board honors students and staff
At Monday’s Mineola ISD board meeting, the following students and staff were recognized:
Primary students of the month, kindergartners Adelyn Van Matre and Tristen Milton; elementary fifth graders Macie Whitehead and Andrew Vega; middle school eighth graders Bendix Smith and Zoe Mandujano; and high school sophomores Ana De La Garza and Fernel Ventura.
Teacher of the month is Alyson Overall, middle school 7th grade math.
Support staff of the month is Rick Stacy of the transportation department, who was recognized by band director Chris Brannan for all his hard work in transporting the band during its state championship run.
