Nature Fest returning after hiatus

Nature Fest returns to the Mineola Nature Preserve Oct. 17-18 at the Mineola Nature Preserve.

The event was last held in 2016.

Friday evening’s events from 6-9:30 include hot dogs, camp fires and stories and a movie.

Saturday events run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The lineup includes the Creature Teacher, Promise of Peace Gardens workshop, Tribes of Tejas ceremony, native American hoop dancer, blackland prairie raptors, nature photography and more. There are hands on activities for all ages, all free.
