New housing on the way
Ground was broken Thursday morning in Quitman for new duplexes being built on Cedar Dr. on the north edge of the city. J.R. Douglas is building the units and expects to begin construction within a month. He thanked officials with the city of Quitman and its economic development corporation and the Wood County Economic Development Commission for their help with the project, which includes a series of tax abatements.
