Officer-involved shooting leads to one man’s death
Information is sparse concerning an officer-involved shooting that ended in the death of one person last Friday in the northeastern part of Wood County in the area of FM 2088 and FM 852.
A Wood County deputy was involved in the shooting, but no officers were injured. Wood County Sheriff Kelly Cole said the county turned the case over to the Texas Rangers for investigation.
DPS spokesman Sgt. Adam Albritton said the case had been turned over to the Texas Rangers and his department is waiting on more information to be released concerning the case.
The dead man has yet to be identified as next of kin still need to be contacted before making the information public.
