Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is proud to debut our “Cooking Well with Diabetes” online program as one of the classes offered on the statewide “AgriLife Learn” system.
November is National Diabetes Education Month, which is a great time to highlight information on diabetes management, whether someone is newly diagnosed or just looking for information as a refresher.

Online diabetes class offered
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is proud to debut our “Cooking Well with Diabetes” online program as one of the classes offered on the statewide “AgriLife Learn” system.
November is National Diabetes Education Month, which is a great time to highlight information on diabetes management, whether someone is newly diagnosed or just looking for information as a refresher.
The 4-lesson course is a self-paced cooking class that includes basic nutrition education to help plan meals and prepare food for people living with diabetes. You will find quick dinner ideas with 25+ recipes to help cook well with diabetes.
The lessons include recognizing carbohydrate foods, planning balanced and satisfying meals, reducing fats in recipes, increasing use of healthier fats, improving sodium & fiber content in recipes, and celebrating holidays sensibly.
And with the course being self-paced, it allows the learner to go back and review the material as much as needed, at any time of day or night. The cost of the course is $20
