Precinct Two Constable’s Report

Posted

I continue to work with the school district and build strong relationships with the kids and young adults in order to attempt to mentor them and provide some guidance where necessary.  I have been asked to conduct training on several campuses in order to better prepare teachers to protect students.

We have had a great response on vacation house watches and continue to take house watch requests. We continue to do building checks and put out door hangers so that business owners know we are watching their businesses. The continued combined effort and coordination with local agencies continues to be beneficial. These relationships continue to grow.

This report shows numerous miles traveled in an effort to provide continuous patrol in Precinct 2 which will assist in suppressing crime and apprehending individuals who may seek to compromise the liberties of citizens. Lake Holbrook, Mineola ISD and Alba-Golden ISD are routinely patrolled in order to continue to build a strong relationship with students and teachers.

Every day K9 Mata and I train, and weekly the K9 teams as a group do additional training as required.

• Assisted the Wood County Sheriff’s office: vehicle search, warrant service, K9 search, deputy medical assist

• Assisted the Mineola Police Department: K9 deployment, suspicious person

• Assisted DPS: traffic stop, arrest

• Drug investigation that resulted in four felony cases on three individuals

• Interviews were conducted with several citizens related to narcotic trafficking, burglaries and thefts in the area.
