QDC chips in $3,000 for mural project
In a special meeting Thursday evening, the Quitman Development Corporation voted to approve a $3,000 sponsorship for the Wood County Walls group.
The money will go toward painting a mural at Piney Woods Raceway, which is located at 189 Conger St. in Quitman.
According to QDC Executive Director James Attaway, the mural design has not yet been finalized. It will be painted on the back fence of the raceway and on the side of the raceway building during the annual street art festival April 12-19.
